 "semi professional" 2009-09-12
By David (Lima)
it is a semi proffesional camera, comes with a couple of zoom covers and takes really good pictures, close and for the distance, also u can get more zoom with the special lens, and remember it is sony, what else could be better for good price and good technology.

"Great for just taking pictures for fun" 2009-09-09

Needed a camera to take family pictures and sports pictures. Very nice clear pictures, rechargable battery is definately a plus, don't really like the lens attachment- but it works great without it. Great purchase for the money.

 "Good camera - a few flaws" 2009-08-26
By A. McDermott
Without a doubt this camera takes nice pictures and it lives up to it's name Steady Shot. However, there are two flaws. The Zoom button is in such a place that you find yourself zooming when you don't mean to. Your thumb ends up on the zoom if you hold the camera by the "handle". Secondly, I just took the camera on vacation and I found that the battery died fairly quickly - much quicker than my last camera. I was charging the camera every evening, but still the charge did not last throughout a whole day. So, I just ordered an extra battery, which was about $30.

"I dont understand how this camera has so many good reviews..." 2009-08-22
By Jones R. Muller (Chicago)
I'm not a professional photographer... So, what I expect is descent pictures in the automatic mode.

However, indoor pictures are absolutely horrible with this camera (trust me, I read similar comments from other users and didn't believe and went ahead because of the Sony brand).

In low light and no flash the pictures come out blurry... If you use flash the face of the person is so bright and absolutely not nice.

I upgraded from a smaller zoom old canon since I got an infant and really wanted to get nice shots inside of the house with him. However I absolutely cannot use the flash since will blind the poor baby...

However the outdoor pictures, with its powerful zoom are great.

I tried to improve my skills in using manual mode, but no luck... I'm sorry to disagree with the majority, but I'm going back to Canons... (I just didn't return the camera because I let the 90 days expire without trying the camera much)...

 "Sony Cybershot DSC-H10" 2009-07-11
By Bryan I. Rittenberry
The DSC-H10 is a very good camera. It is light weight and small enough to carry in your pocket. The camera seems to be quite durable as well.

The camera is really good outdoors, and the macro feature is excellent. It is easy to get good macro shots with this camera.

There is a bit of noise at higher ISO settings, but it is hardly noticeable up to to ISO 400 when making 8 by 10 prints. Anything over ISO 400 and the picture starts to look bad.

The auto mode will usually produce a good picture. The manual settings are easy to use when you need more control over your camera. I found that most of the other modes were not very useful my purposes; I usually kept the camera on manual or automatic.

The flash can take a little of bit of time to recharge. So make your shot count if you are using the flash with a moving subject.

So far, I have taken over 6,000 pictures with the camera without any issues. Overall, the DSC-H10 is a very good point and shoot camera.
