It's a great spare battery. I don't know why you have to buy the InfoLITHIUM battery separate to get the number of minutes remaining to display on the camera (why didn't they have that on the battery that comes with it), but since these camera's use special batteries, you'll want to pick one of these up for when your other battery dies and you still need to take more pictures.

type G will not fit the handycam so I sent it back have not heared back from it.
