These tapes are working great for me so far. I have not seen how well they do over time but as far as recording my recent video they have done so just fine.

I use only these tapes with my Canon HV20. They are cheap (I always buy at least 5 pack) and that is primary reason I use them. Occasionally I get tape dropouts. But I think this is normal with any brand tape and any camcorder using tapes. Also recording to tape (not only this brand, but in general) forces me to record a little bit more before actual recording, because I find that it is very hard to import first few seconds of video to a computer ( I use iMovie).
