I bought this charger about a month ago (June 2009) and tried charging two seperate batteries in it. One battery was the camera's origional battery (which still works fine) and the other was a new battery. Neither battery would charge with this Premium Tech Digital Charger.

Ordered this in late May, it shipped quickly and I received it in a few days. I had read the reviews on Amazon and saw that only one person had a negative review, so I decided to give it a try. Turns out, I'll be the second negative review.
When I got the charger, I opened the box, read the instruction sheet (very brief - one page, one side) and tried to charge my battery. The "charging" indicator light did not come on. I checked the battery, directions again, and tried a new outlet. The charge indicator light briefly flickered as I plugged it in, but that's all. After the initial attempt, I could never even get a brief flicker, despite trying several different outlets and orientations of the charger/battery. It comes with a car adapter, so I tried that and it seemed to work (at least the charge indicator light came on and stayed on) but I bought this to use at home and don't intend to constantly go to the car to charge my camera battery. I'll return and hope for a better replacement, but so far, I'm definitely not impressed.

I left my original charger for camera when my family and I went on vacation. This charger was so much more affordable then the ones that where in the major department stores.

I would be extremely careful of this product if I were you. I ordered from SF Planet and while the shipping was very quick and the product looks exactly like the one pictured, and the little light lights up, it doesn't actually charge my camera battery. I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-W55, the G-series lithium ion battery, and the model name is listed as one of the compatible ones, but it doesn't work. I'm ordering off ebay, be careful of this product.
