Nice compact design and really good price. Good for travel. Used it to try charging my BlackBerry Bold 9700 and iPod Touch. Was able to charge both. But the area near the connector got VERY hot. So hot that it felt like it would burn my finger. I tried using it once on my Blackberry and once on my iPod. It got hot both times. When I unplugged it, I could smell that electrial fire smell. I don't think I will use it again. Not sure why other say it does not get hot. Perhaps if it was used while touching something that acts like a heatsink it might stay cool. But not worth the risk of a fire to try that.

My wife and I were in need of a tripod to film our child's birth, and this tripod stood strong. It supported our Canon S5 IS, and had no problem at all. If you are looking for a tripod to use every day, keep looking, but for that rare occasion this one works well. I wouldn't trust this tripod with any expensive heavy cameras, but obviously if you are buying a tripod for an expensive camera you wouldn't be here. I love the camera bag as well. I'm using this on an Olympus E-VOLT E300. Had no problems getting it set up, and it certainly worked well. Used it primarily for bounce work at a wedding, and it performed admirably.



The best thing about this, I discovered, is that it actually gets better battery performance than they detail in their info on it. They say approx 150 shots per battery load, but I was up to 220 and it was still working fine. Haven't tested beyond that, but I'll be sure to on my next set. With the price of batteries eating into my pocket on other devices, this was a huge bonus.



If you're looking for a cheap flash to play around with, this is it.

Test it in manual mode with Canon Xsi, the flash is very powerful, I have to set ISO to 100. Most of the settings in the back of the flash is useful for zoom lens and prime lens as well. Highly recommended.

Hmmm, I guess it depends on what your requirements are. It works better (in some cases) than the standard plastic difuser you can purchase for most flashes. It's so cheap looking and being that you blow it up...it's not a confidence builder by any means.

1. Would I use this professionally? Maybe as a last resort.

2. Would I use this frequently for personal use? Nope, the plastic difuser works well enough most of the time.

3. If I could start over, would I buy this again? That's tough, I probably would...for two reasons - A. It's so inexpensive / B. It's extremely portable (as a photographer, you want to keep all your options open.)



In short, if you have an extra $15 lying around and want to keep your portable lighting options open...it's not a bad idea to have this in your bag. Who knows, maybe it will grow on me...??
