Although this cord does charge our handycam, the plug is a bit loose and doesn't always stay in the recorder. We have found it has come loose many times after thinking the device was sufficiently charged - not good when you want to use the recorder for a special occasion only to have it not fully charged. It's very light in comparison to the original and appears to be an aftermarket/second rate product. I guess you get what you pay for.

This case is very small and is made to just fit your camcorder. It is made of a neoprene type of material. I bought the Sony HDR-XR500, and it fits around it perfectly. No there are no additional pockets for storage. This case is made so that you can put the camera in a purse or bag...or even a jacket pocket, and not carry around a bulky, larger case. This is perfect for portability.

This carrying pouch is the perfect size for the newer, smaller camcorder. I have the XR520V and it fits perfectly. There is not room for anything else, but since the battery life is long and there are not tapes or discs required to record, there is nothing else you would need to put in it besides the camcorder. The pouch feels like neoprene, soft and lightweight.

This camera does a great job of capturing video immages. While there is a lot to learn with all the functions it has, and the accessories like memmory stick can cost a bit. The qualuty of the images you get and the software supplied is fairly easy to use once you use it a few times. You can spend more and get a camera with more functions, but why would you want to?

My wife and I purchased this camcorder just before our trip to Hawaii and took it with us. We love it. It worked very well and is pretty easy to use. The set-up takes a little while and you do have to use the handbook provided to get through it. We would recommend getting a second battery as a back-up when you want to do a lot of recording at one time. It is compact and light-weight and also takes still photos. Having the disc and the flash drive in one camera is fantastic! We totally recommend buying this camcorder, and have found out that Sony makes excellent products and uses cutting edge technology. thanks, Cindy and Larry

Before I purchased this camera I read the reviews. Most were saying that this was a good camera. Some were not too high on its productivity. After getting the camera and using it, I realize that it was not that great. The video is poor in quality and very grainy. The same goes for the pictures. I am not that impressed with it.

I found this camcorder to meet my expectations. The 60x zoom is good and the quality is very good. The digital zoom to 2000 is like all digital zooms - not great. It is easy to switch between DVD recording and Memory Stick recording. The still photo quality requires a steady hand and is not good when zooming in. The audio quality is good. Low light is good. Color quality is good. I'm satisfied with it.
