This cable worked beautifully with my Canon HG10 HD camcorder, and my Canon VIXIA HFS10 HD camcorder. It has no loose connections, it is a good length, the connection heads appear and feel solid and the connections are firm and easy to make. I bought this cable to replace a Cables Unlimited PCM-2293-02M HDMI to Mini-HDMI Cable which did not work well with my cameras. The Sony cable is worth the money.

In all honesty, for the longest time I thoughts the reveiws about my Panasonic 3CCD camera was a bunch of bull because the I could not see the clarity everyone boasted about. At first I thought it was my analog tv, upgraded to A 32 Inch Vizio. I thought the screen strecth out the quality and created the pixel look. Low and behold it was the tape. It was like watching real live people through a sqaure peg. It was Amazing. It was so clear I almost felt like I was back in time. No doubt a the 3CCD camera and Sony HD were soulmates crying out for each other. It was worth it. Please don't doubt the power of high def. It looked better than some of the programs I watching that day. Hope it does the same for you.

Sony MiniDV tape has always worked well in our SD camcorders (Canon and Panasonic) and now that we moved to HD (Canon VIXIA HV40 HD HDV Camcorder with 10x Optical Zoom), the Sony "DVC HD MiniDV" tapes are the only ones we plan to use.



The playback quality is just amazing and we have never noticed any errors in our recordings. This is very important to us since we film instructional videos for our family business and need to be sure that the video is perfect every time.

This is a quality product made by Sony. I would expect nothing less from them. I did discover a strange problem with one of my Sony tapes purchased about a year ago from a retail store. There is some kind of command hard-coded on the tape that repeats every few minutes and can not be erased. The command does not affect operation of the camera itself, but mutes the sound capture on my computer using Adobe Premier software and a Firewire connection to the camera. I sent that tape back to Sony as a warranty claim and am now waiting for their reply.
