Pros:

1. It includes everything to clean your camera.

2. The small case is very convenient.



Cons:

1. It was shipped by USPS which is slower than UPS. Shipping is not free.

2. The Nikon mirofiber cloth is not good for cleaning lens. It will leave small fiber and dust on the lens surface if apply the cleaning fluid. I have to re-clean it with a dry part of the micofiber and the air blower.

3. How to keep the microfiber clean seems a problem, especially after applying the cleaning fluid.



Suggestion:

Also buy some lens cleaning paper if you are serious for your lens.

Great piece of kit, vital for any dSLR user. The rocket blower is awesome and the rest of the kit is well designed. There is also a comprehensive article that instructs you how to use it. I got this kit for my EOS 40D and it works beautifully. I would say the biggest thing to be careful of is NOT touching the pec pad that you're wrapping the sensor wand with since body oils can be transferred to the sensor. This was harder to do than it would seem, but I got some non-powdered gloves from the store and wore them to wrap the wand. The first time, it took me cleaning the sensor twice before I got the hang of what I was doing, but now I can clean the sensor in less than 2 minutes. Clears away every speck of dust and leaves your sensor up to factory specs.

Stupid Spinning Head, Tape Based Video Cameras!

They all rub a little oxide off the tape as they spin. And before you know it, the recording head becomes clogged and no longer writes :-(

I bought 2 of these cleaner cassettes a couple of years ago, and they have kept my Sony TR-120 running LONG past it's expected lifetime.

Soon it'll be time for a new Video Camera. I am NOT crazy about the current crop of DVD-R based cameras. Hard-Drive based cameras are the current way to go - - BOTH are power hungry solutions.

BUT !!!

With the arrival of Solid-State drives (VERY little battery drain, high reliability, currently expensive, but coming down rapidly) it won't be long before it doesn't matter that these cleaning tapes aren't available any more.

The lens pen is a great tool that every photographer should have in their bag. Fast and painless way to get smudges and dust off of the lens. The bundled cleaning kit is actually pretty decent. The microfiber cloth is actually a microfiber cloth and doesn't leave behind lint like some other cheap ones. The blower is compact and fits well in my camera bag. Haven't used the lens cleaning fluid, tissues or swabs yet, but they appear to be of decent quality. Totally worth it for the price even if you never use the cleaning fluid

My Sony PD150 was eating tapes, especially when scanning rw or ff. I was dreading taking it in to have the tape transport serviced, and thought I would at least try to see if a cleaning tape would help. (Some video engineers who are friends of mine made the suggestion) I don't know what was in there or how the cleaning tape did it, but I have run 4 different tapes head-to-tail through the camera, and have also done some recording/scanning without any problems. Sofar, at least, it looks like this cleaning tape has saved me a lot of hassle and money.
