I keep my Sony Cybershot DSCW300 in this case at all times and it works perfectly for me. It protects my camera from getting scratched up in my purse. It's not the slimmest case, but I wouldn't keep my treasured camera in any case without substantial padding, and this one fits the bill. I've never dropped my camera, but if I did, I believe this case would protect it.



Like a previous reviewer said, the magnetic clasp isn't incredibly strong, but I carry my camera by the wrist strap that came with the camera (which is easily accessible with this case), and so no pressure is put on the clasp.

The magnet is small and does not catch. My camera slides right out, the weight of the camera is too heavy for the strength of the magnet. I am planning on returning this and getting a different case.

This is one of the better (the best?) looking cases for cybershot cameras. Unfortunately the weak magnetic latch mechanism isn't something that can be relied upon to prevent your camera from hurtling towards the concrete. Don't trust it (hasn't happened to me but easily could), make sure you hold the case upright and with the caution. Also, there is no belt loop or other means to attach this case to anything else. So effectively what this case does is for me is sit inside another case which holds my extra memory, battery, etc. Not exactly the use I had in mind. It's a bit too bulky to fit inside your pocket without looking awkward. It is decently padded inside, but the weak latch is really a potential problem.



All in all I would not recommend this case unless the issues above aren't important to you and aesthetic considerations are your only concern. I suggest buying one of those hideous nylon cases which may look bulky and dorky but at least will do the simple job they where designed for.



Oh yeah, no pockets or sleeves for anything else in this case, not even a tiny extra memory card or anything. A functionally bad design all things considered.

I purchased this cover for my Sony W220 digital camera, it is not really a carrying case as you may think, it simply covers the camera and uses a replacement strap that you attach to the camera itself. It is attractive and fits the w220 perfectly, and it is has proven to be a very nice storage cover but I would hesitate to carry this only. It is not sealed on the topof either side,it does cover the front and rear of the camera very well. To me it seams more like storage case while you keep it in whatever you may be carrying it in. Magnetic front cover works well and has a good cling, does not just flop open as you might come to expect from magnetic lids.

I think this would be a better value for less money, but it is what it is, a very attractive leather case for your sony digital camera. If it sealed the top of the sides better I would have given four stars, and if the price was about 25.00 I would have given 5.

First, I bought this hoping it'd fit my T700. I wanted it to fit like a glove as I've read other cases do. Unfortunately, I could fit two T700s in here if I wanted to. Lots of extra room.



Second, Sony obviously didn't design the strap on this case to go with the stylus that comes with the camera. The strap is too wide and though the stylus goes on, it's really not supposed to.



Finally, the "strap loop" isn't as convenient as you'd think. The strap does not easily slip through it, so it's not like you can whip the camera out of the case and the case just slides down on the strap. It takes work and seems like it's not worth it.



So, the quality of this case? Great. It's very nicely made. Just not a snug fit and not all that functional.

This Sony leather case for the T series of cameras is nice and it's a dark red like the pictures. I went to BestBuy to get one for $39.99 w/ tax. It costs the same on Amazon the only difference being shipping and no tax. It's entirely leather with a nice texture akin to what you might feel/see from LV bags. The strap is also entirely red.



Why does the product get a 2/5 stars then? Well beware Amazon shoppers! Just because the other sellers are advertising the product for cheaper than Amazon's price doesn't mean they carry genuine goods! I originally purchased this item through one of the other sellers that offered it for less than Amazon's price. What did I get? A camera case that looked clearly like a knockoff [or perhaps is one]. The outside was a candy red and the inside was some white cotton/felt fabric. The strap was also candy red but the "Sony" portion of it was white. And the elastic part of the strap was pink. WTF? Also the leather was wrinkled, shriveled, and did not feel like leather at all. Don't want to return to seller because it won't be refunded in full unless it is a "defective electronic." Clearly a case is not electronic and will be subjected to restocking fees. Also I would've had to pay for shipping to send it back. Do yourself a favor and purchase from Amazon directly!



Edit: Seller looked at available stock and confirmed product not to be genuine.

I bought this case for my Sony DSC-T70 so that I could carry it around in my purse without worrying about the camera getting scratched. It is sleek, stylish, and very compact - just enough room for the camera and the wand for the touch screen and allows me to carry it where ever I go without too much bulk.
