I was looking for a digital camera to take with me on my trip to Australia. Being a trip of a lifetime, I wanted to make sure I returned with amazing pictures and video that helped me remember and share my experience. I shopped online and in stores comparing prices and brands. This camera provides easy use with great results at an affordable price. There are many functions to choose from allowing for optimal performance. It is compact and easy to become accustomed with. The larger lcd screen was helpful when capturing and reviewing pictures. The video function picks up sound well, but you cannot zoom while filming. The settings can be manually configured to be adjusted to your preferences, but there is also a function for easy shooting. Battery life was sustainable and allowed for full days of picture taking. Viewing pictures as a slide show on the camera is great, because it plays music along with it, and you can add your own music to add a personal touch. I was able to capture images quickly with the fast response time of the shutter. Overall, I was completely satisfied with this product and would recommend it to someone shopping for a decent digital camera, but isn't quite ready for a SLR. The pictures turned out great!......
I got this camera for my wife who never had a digital one before It's great! It's so easy for her to use. The pics are crisp and clear. Color is great. So glad I purchased it. She's used the delay, but not the movie feature yet. More to explore!......
I like this camera. It has the larger screen on it along with the 4X optical zoom. It has enough megapixels so that I can enlarge pictures and still have quality pictures. It also has the steady shot stabilization and smile recognition. It has all the features I was looking for.......
This camera is great, the only complaint is it's zoom is limited. It takes great pix and the software that comes with it has a really creepy facial recognition function. A little weird, but pretty neat for finding pix of people. ......
This is my wifes camera, but this thing does not seem to do well indoors at all. It never gets over 1/30th of a second shutter speed even with flash, so pictures of my 10 month old are always slightly blurred because he does not sit still. If the ISO is increased to 400 it is incredibly grainy, even iso 200 is a bit grainy. The camera also rarely seems to be focused. I cannot tell it so much, but my wife points out in the majority of her pictures taken indoors that very rarely is the subject in focus. We have tried the various focus settings and it still happens. It is partly an issue of our son moving a lot (and the camera never getting over 1/30th of a second even when it is well lit with flash indoors) and also the camera just not QUITE getting the focus right. The face detection doesn't work well unless the persons face is DIRECTLY aimed at the camera. My son's face is NEVER detected because he will have his hand by his head and apparently that keeps it from working. That, or he will be turned away (even if just slightly) so it is not detected. ......
